How to Use the Green Lion GTR174 Generator (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. Pre-Setup Checks

Before starting the generator:

• Place the generator on a flat, stable surface.

• Ensure the area is well-ventilated — never use indoors or in closed spaces.

• Check that all devices and appliances are unplugged from the generator before starting.

• Verify oil level (4.5L capacity). Use approved 4-stroke engine oil (SAE 10W-30 recommended).

• Confirm there is enough fuel in the 8L petrol tank.

• Ensure the air filter is clean and properly installed.

2. Starting the Generator

You have two options: Electric Start or Recoil Start.

Electric Start (Recommended)
